Pre-Contest Journal

I want to hold a contest real soon!
Soooo.... *drumroll*
I have to call upon my darling members to help me out!

This contest will be very basic, vague, and allow you to span your creativity x3
It's a theme contest, where you take the theme add RainCookie and create a masterpiece~
This means you can use any media, interpret the theme however you like (the more creative the better x3), and be freer
(this type of contest was suggested by ~sworndestiny <3)

But before we can hold the contest I need a few things.

1. Advertisement; help spread the word a little, mention it in journals, you know this song-and-dance already. The more people join in the better!
2. I need prizes.
Drawings, subscriptions, flashes, avatars, features, etc.
And I need to be able to have different degrees of them.
Normally I only have 1st and 2nd prizes, but if a lot of people enter, I'd up it to have a 3rd place and two runner ups.
It would be nice if some artist could make prizes for all; like a full CG for first prize, 1 character no background for second, a color sketch for thrid, and chibis for runner ups.
You get my drift ;u;
3. Judges.
Before it was only me, yellowguys, and once in a while Cori. I don't think it's fair if only one person does it all, so I want at least three-four judges for this contest, and more should a lot of people enter.
I'm hoping to get a co-operator soon as well *crosses fingers* and if so they'll help out.

Open for Business

Hello my 311 RainCookie members~

As of today, August 11th we're happily reopening!
I apologize for the month long wait (I've been having trouble off and on for a while)

Last journal I received a very positive response! 9 members have offered their help, that's enough for me! Thank you so much for your support with this club guys!
RainCookie club has been and always will be, about it's members. We'd be nothing without your support and help.

Anyways, to kick things into motion better, I'm looking for a new team of operators. Just a few trustworthy people that I can count on to help me with the club, just like how ~Yellowguys did.
People in these new operator positions would help with such tasks as:

1. Dealing with members; watching back people, un-watching users who have moved accounts or are frozen, handling any notes or comments that deal with joining, and all around keeping the 300+ watchers in order.
2. Submitting of deviations/faving any fanart of raincookie, and dealing with any picture related notes/comments.
3. Contest moderator. Handling questions, writing contest journals, updating contest entries in journal, announcing winners, etc.
4. I'd also like people helping with the club to be good with making the journals look cute... you know with those :icon_____plz: accounts with the cute icons that make journal boarders and what not ^^; you get my drift right?

Basically this is my job, lol. But it can pile up, and life gets rocky easily, so I'm not always able to keep it active while keeping track of my own account and such.
Now, to work the people with this job would have to be trustworthy enough to have the password to this account.

If you're interested in this position, please please send me a note! And like for any job, give me some description of why you want the job/would be good for it and such.

Opening again? Help is needed.

Since it's summer I've little to do aside from work on CG-ing art.

SO....
I was thinking about opening the club once more. We've been dead for over half a year, and maybe with summer we can bounce this club back into life.
I can't do it alone, and I've let my dear co-operator give up the job (she had a marvelous run with the club)

For this club to open I need people to help.

1. People who will draw/provide prizes for contests
2. Active participation
3. General assiatance.
4. a club subscription

This may be a summer only thing btw. I'm entering high school this year and the homework and stress may pile up too much on my usual workload.

Closing down

I'm sorry to say, but, this club as of December 25 2008, is closed until further notice.
Neither ~Yellowguys or I (~LuneLis ) have the time or resources to run this club any longer. We can't produce prizes so no big contests and then little participation in any contest we can produce. This club is pretty dead;;; You have to admit that.
If you have any questions comments etc etc please comment below or send a note to my personal account ~LuneLis k?
In all honesty we had a good run; 1 year, 4 months, 27 days.
If there's time, and we can get better prizes we will once again open the club; until then I bid you all sayonara and many thanks for being a member.

Hi this is ~Yellowguys speaking!

Well this club hasn't been active for quite a while now (I think a couple of weeks). We have 300+ members and this club has been alive for at least a year and a half now.
I just wanted to say this: You guys are part of this club
To make this fanclub for ~RainCookie we need you guys to keep it alive, and it's our job to update and put up contests. I mean, I already said the winners for the last contest and no one has commented. Not even the winner asked for his/her prize yet, and it's been almost a month.

Well I guess it's because the prizes were a bit sucky, I mean no one wants to join a club's contest unless they have subscriptions involved in it.

*sigh* It's hard to keep a club alive, but I'm amazed that ~LuneLis could keep this up for a year. I mean, I just wanna show ~RainCookie our appreciation for her but I guess it's tough.
